Tyre Options for C63 507
Discussion
I know I recently proclaimed 'I'm buying an A45!', but after another test drive in a 507...I'm now thinking otherwise.
One thing I've been trying to work out (on either car) is should I get a second set of wheels for track tyres or just run the normal wheels with more track focused/road legal rubber. I'm thinking 6 track days a year and 15k miles...would equate to 5 sets of rubber (not counting the first set that come with the car).
Can anyone tell me what the stock tyres are on the A45 and C63 (235/35/19 on A and 235/35/19, 255/30/19 C) and what track day ish brand would be good? I've been looking at Dunlop SportMaxx Race, R888s or Cup 2s. I know track rubber is compromised in the wet/winter and won't last as long on the road.
Any thoughts welcome.

Yes. Friend running them on GT3 as a daily. Work perfectly well on road and amazing on track. Actually have good tread depth and longevity now too. Unlike old Cups that are done after 2-3k miles.
Only real issue still is deep standing water. But in the damp or normal wet they are a revelation over the old tyre. Perfectly usable every day.

I bought a second set of 18" oem C63 wheels for my 507 for track/ring/winter use. You mention 6 track days, be aware you will go through your brakes in 6 days imo. It's a good car to try out on track but I don't think its a good track car as it is real heavy and will eat front tyres and brake pads.
Still I took mine to Spa, Bedrord and a couple of Ring trips.
