Simply wonderful. I have watched them on the iPad and I'm now watching with the Mrs and it's even better.
Just really captivating and really funny. I wonder how much is scripted and how much improvised with a basic framework to work within. I can believe they are friends in real life too.
One to recommend without hesitation.

The bit where he tripped running back from the post box had me doubled up and out of breath from laughing. Not sure why as it was just a simple gag, but it worked. Fast forwarded through the dream/song sequences, just didn't see the point of them.
Not as funny as Phoenix Nights or Max and Paddy, but still quite enjoyable. Looking forward to series 2 (if there will be one) as presumably she will be moving in with him.

All six episodes are on iplayer for a limited period before it hits BBC1.
Just watched a couple. Was a bit boring for the first half of the first episode but I've seem to have got into it as the two develop a relationship.
Is it wrong that I've developed a bit of a crush on the redhead??
