Trip Advisor is either excellent or st, which doesn't really help.

If any PHers have been I'd really appreciate your feedback. Got a family meal there on Sunday, would like to know wether I should stick to tap water and go KFC after or not.

Edit; obviously the title should be China Palace.

Are you going Sunday lunch or evening meal?

Lunch is a set buffet, which I'm not so keen on. The food is nice but you don't get much selection, and it's the more common stuff.

Evening meals are lovely, it's all you can eat but you choose the dishes you want, service is normally very quick and food is always hot and there is a good selection of stuff to try.

How did you get on?

The bad reviews are correct. I have been there arguing with the owner about putting drinks on a tab, his general rudeness etc. Guy is a fking nut job.

Food was absolutely spot on. All red hot, tasted fresh and was very quick.

The service wasn't the best, staff seemed disinterested, bordering on rude at times.

I'd go again. Possibly. I think.

Food is good, staff are rude. One lady in particular is really rude.

When we go we consider it to be a theme restaurant where the staff are meant to be rude. I go overboard being nice and polite to see if I can make any of them be polite and nice. I usually fail but its good fun.

Book in at the Blacksmith's Arms in Biggin up the road instead. Excellent food and service.

same here. love winding him up, although not to the point of him getting a meat clever. Stella normally does it for me.

black smiths still ok then?

Yup, spot on. They don't vary the menu often but the food is excellent.

Seems the Trip Advisor reviews were spot on then. Good food/terrible service. hehe

It wouldn't have been something I'd have chosen anyway, I'm more an American diner type of guy.

Andy and Jim. Two brothers. Andy's son John is Jim's right hand man in the kitchen. Andy runs front of house.
