93 Chimaera 4.3 differential

What is this differential on this model chimaera with the lt77 gearbox? I can hear a really loud whirring from the rear of the car and think the diff might be on its way out .... refurb or get a new one? and can i fit a t5 transmission onto the existing bolt holes for the lt 77 box?

From my limited knowledge, the diff is likely to be a GKN. I think you need to fabricate new mounting points to accept the T5 gearbox. However, I was looking at The Gearbox Man's website following Phazed's post and it looks like a pretty good way to uprate your existing diff and gearbox: http://www.gearboxman.co.uk. This may be a better and more cost effective way forward, as I understand the ratios in the LT77 are quite favourable.
