So, recently I've replaced upper and lower ball joints, and track rod ends for both sides at the front. All parts from TVR-Parts.

I put it all together roughly guessing at angles, and took it to have its geometry set up.

Turns out there is not enough adjustment to set the correct amount of Camber, on the Passenger-Side only.

Its currently sitting at -1.11°, and was aiming for -0.75° however the adjusters are at there max for +ve camber, by the looks of it, I can only go more -ve (I.e. top of wheel inwards).

Has anyone else experienced this?
The guy doing the setup suggested extending the slots in the top wishbones, so allowing more adjustment?

I'm a little confused tho - why has this happened?

Nothing on the car is bent, it has never been in a knock etc.

Tho it is the first time I've had a full geo setup done, only ever tracking before.

Pics below with suspension at full-droop (jacked up and wheels off)...

Any thoughts \ experiences much appreciated!

Is your ride height correct? The wishbonesare different lengths so camber changes if the lower wishbone isn't horizontal. Go far enough and there won't be enough adjustment to correct it

Had this problem a few years back after i did a full body off refurb, including all new top and bottom ball joints and new poly bushes.

Took the car to TrackvRoad in Clitheroe for a full geo set up and the guy there had to elongate the slots in the top wishbone to set it up correctly.

So do not worry if thats what you have to do.

That's kinda what I wanted to hear!

The ride height is standard - its on original spribgs & dampers.

Cheers!

One of my rears is on full ajustment and still has around 1deg. Negative. Didn't bother to slot it further just set the other side to match. just think of it as a little more "race spec"

I am running about -1 deg camber and it improves the road handling no end.
And on track days I find that the entire surface of the tyre is at the same temperature after a dozen fast laps.
Those tyres are wearing nice and evenly too.
Full race spec is several negative degrees of camber.

So you have the choice - elongate the slots, or set it to -1.1 each side and enjoy.

A pal of mine had the same problem a year or so and ended up with the mod described earlier.
Interestingly, he'd had geo set ups done at two different specialists and it was only at the second one that the problem was found!
