Oxford Audi price matched a local garage for me a year ago.

This was for the 4th service on an A6 3.0TDI.

VW are doing it too. My local dealer price matched Halfords for an MOT test the other day so I only ended up paying £29. Result

Over 3 years old? If so, don't forget there's fixed price servicing deals too. You may end up asking your indy to price match the main dealer....

Such is my distrust of our local VW dealer that once the service contract was up I used an indie despite their quote being more expensive - although oddly the actual bill was £50 less than they quoted so they were in fact slightly cheaper.

I also don't get calls every few weeks insisting my tyres need changing as by now they must be "illegal according to the EU limits".
