Make sure they give the right plates, I waited two months for a delivery and iir came with the wrong splines on the plates, , it was well worth the wait as the clutch is spot on

Ok cheers - was hoping to see the summer through on the 500 clutch that's in it but that's not going to work!

It's best to go straight to McLeod otherwise you may have a very long wait.

I got mine from Real Steel along with the replacement flywheel from stock.

I am sure you have seen the previous threads on this, but I had to take a slice (I took 10mm iirc) off the rear of the bearing carrier, I also spaced out the slave.

Real Steel were not aware of this when I spoke to them (I had already installed it). I sent them a photo so they should be aware now. As a result the bearing carrier was right back on the box face and the forks had constant pressure from the bearing.

Can't fault the clutch, although it has not had any serious abuse as I can't afford the cost and time to fix anything that breaks at the mo.

Is it a kit with a specific part number likely to be known by McLeod or a kit of individual parts with specific numbers?

If you order direct you can tell them it's for a rover and give them the flywheel diameter etc. They'll probably offer a buick part. I remember that 'back in the day' they told me to order a pressure plate with 3 levers and that's what they sent. I had to pay directly into their bank account.

I have a spare flywheel to hand to measure and ascertain the bolt pattern off (McLeod responded to an email enquiry and asked for this info), but am unsure of the input shaft spline details also asked for; anyone know for a T5 please?

I'm guessing that's 1 inch x 23 spline? I thought mustangs were 10...

Seems another possibility is a 215mm dia twin plate 'from Ford RS turbo' (I'm guessing that means cossie) - anyone heard of this being done? I would expect the flywheel bolt pattern will need changing?

Gary, have a word with Simon at Real Steel. Very helpful.
