Its renewal time . I have used Mannings since I have owned a TVR in 2001 and this year its £340 .
A quick gocompare check gives me a £206 quote from quote me happy .
Anybody out there willing to tell me what they pay and would you trust an online quote and insurance company with your car .
Also any recommendations for other companies to try .
Mannings are saying they will cover the 50th TVRCC event so that is a benefit .

Worth a try for sure.

I pay about £400 with 1 fault claim via Mannings, but that's with a declared 4.3 engine and an agreed value and mileage of 5k pa.
There are cheaper but the service from them when I had an accident a couple of years ago was very good.

Classicline gave me the best quote last year. Others on here recommended them at the time. Might be worth getting a quote.

ClassicLine gave us the best overall package last year, but now we've gone with Henderson Taylor as they simply had a better quote than ClassicLine for pretty much the same thing (it was even with the same underwriter). The main difference was that ClassicLine include mandatory breakdown cover (which we didn't need anyway). IIRC ClassicLine quoted ~485 and HT was ~360.

£440 last year, agreed value of 20k one fault claim. Cheap market value policies are not worth it if the worst were to happen.

My policy is with KGM through MSM

I'm very happy with Oliver at ClassicLine. They were best by far for the Sag. Covering me for track day tomorrow at Snetterton and a trip to Spa at end of May for a few sessions smile

I have the same policy as you (declared 4.3, agreed value and 5k mileage), but I paid £460 frown

I figured paying a little more was well worth the peace of mind, especially as before it was valued at £16k!

Agreed. At Mannings you deal with actual people (not the facelessness of online only) who will actually make an effort on your behalf if and when it all goes wrong. To me insurance is not only complying with the law it is also reassurance. Perhaps I could save a few quid (though I don't think they are uncompetitive) on line but I would feel less reassured.
I have no link to Mannings except that they have insured me for many years and I (sadly) have had reason to use their services

I have found Privilege to be very good for the last several years tbh.
However a word of caution or observation. I got my renewal as usual - went on line to confirm and it was more than last year and I have full no claims.
Called and again it was more expensive BUT less than the original renewal. I thought I would give it one more go later in the week and i was surprised to get it cheaper than the quote and indeed less than last year!!!!!
