Morning All,

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I thought this forum would be the place that knows the answer.

I am going over to the Nurburgring for my 6th trip this year, but am thinking of going to Spa for a day trip, not to drive the track as its not open to public when im there, but just for a dayout. My question is though, Are there any viewpoints around the track like there are at the Nurburgring?

Cant seem to find any info regarding this online. Ive found access points etc for th track, but I assume they are for F1 etc.

Any help is good help.

Thanks in advance

DJ

As you enter the mini roundabout from the Ster side, as you approach the gat turn into the carpark on your left.Park up over in the furthest corner nearest the track.Top of Eau Rouge gives a great view of the historic pits and a fair bit of the circuit. You can carry on walking up alongside Kemmel straigh and past Le Combe.Carry on walking baring right past the Marshals caravans and down to Rivage, you could the walk all the way around a pathway all the way to the Hotel de LaSource.
If your lucky, you get through the Ster gate, possibly get to the top of the F1 pits, again fantastic views across to Rivage and to the Blanchimont exit/F1 pit straigh.

That is a fantastic help. That's all I needed to know, I didn't wanna travel there and not be able to get near the track to take photos etc tbh. Thanks so much smile

You may well be able to get in at the Stavelot gate, you'll certainly be able to drive the old track at that end of the circuit.

Leaving in an hour for the WEC, looking at the forecast it might be a bit nippy at night

My experience of just turning up at race tracks 'in the hope of seeing something going on' is good. In fact on Monday, I called in at the Red Bull Ring and found DC and Mark Webber doing some filming with a Cobra rep! There's loads to see and do at Spa, assuming you can gain access so it's well worth simply turning up anyway. Enjoy your trip.
