Hi guys

I know the cars need cats for the mot, but now I'm supercharged I failed the emissions this time around. My cat is knackered.

So, my local tuner follow found a 'sympathetic' tester when it comes to the emissions. He's suggested that I should de cat the car and just use said tester come mot time. Let the car breathe that bit better into the bargain.

So, having Googled it, it doesn't seem that easy to find a de cat pipe? Where do I find one? And is it an easy home fit job? I'm running a mk2 1.8

I had my cat cut out and a piece of pipe welded in at a local custom exhaust place.

There isn't a mk2 decat as per say the only way to get one is to cut the cat out and weld a pipe in due to the difference of designs between the mk1 and mk2 cat.

Racing Beat make a Mk2 decat pipe, When all import charges/tax etc.. are added on it works out a fair bit cheaper to get one made up yourself.
