GT 6.0 Running Costs

Hi guys,

I've just sold my Aston V8V and I'm looking for my next toy! The Aston cost me £55k and I sold it 8 months later for £52.5k.... Not bad considering I didn't spend a penny on maintenance, tax or fuel (company fuel card).

This time I'm looking to spend around £35k. I've looked at Range Rovers but they seem to have too many reliability problems! Then I realised how cheap the GT's are. I saw one on AutoTrader with 25000 miles on for £32k! Must have cost the previous owner £3 per mile in depreciation only!

I can assume these cars won't get much cheaper, which is good. But how much should someone budget for service and repairs if they do circa 8k miles a year? Are there any good indy's in the Bentley world like Porsche and Aston, where prices are more in line with main dealer BMW costs?

Hi.

It depends where you live when it comes to Independents I suppose. Mine is in Crewe a few miles from the main factory. The 2 guys that run it are ex Bentley and they taught the rest of the world on the GT when it first came out, so they really know their stuff.

I budget £4500 a yr for warranty renewal and Main dealer service fixed price service

Nothing else much needed past that, I'm sure it can be done cheaper however I wanted to keep the warranty as long as possible.
