Expo Campsite

So have found out today that for my first trip to Le Mans I am staying at the Expo campsite (it is a stag do, being arranged by the stags sister). Whats it like? Anyone had any experience? Anyone else staying there this year?

If I recall correctly Expo is to the north of the circuit next to tetre rouge. Its got to be better than Beausjour or one of the other ones that is miles south.

Expo is outside the circuit and in parts the ground is hard and rocky but it is close to the main gate and easy access to and from the main roads. Close to the museum.

Yes Expo is not far from the main entrance to the circuit, just the other side of the dual carriageway. Its where I stay every year, so dont take my spot!

Personally I like it, easy to get to the main entrance and the Forest S's. However there are areas where the ground is hard, you'll need rock pegs for the tents!

Edited to add its a fair hike to the tram station, although you do have a choice, either the terminus or the station near Tetre Rouge.

Not sure if it is still the same, bur in 2004 they opened up the animal shelters. I plonked my tent straight on the elevated concrete and enjoyed the 'shed' roof - pretty ironic as it was stonkingly hot!

Just over the road from Aux Portes du Circuit. A Friday favourite of mine!

Hang on, just noticed this! Why is the stags's sister organising it?

Good choice though. We have had a couple of stags over the years.

Make sure the stag has a morph suit for the weekend or a mankini! - he will be easier to find if he decides to try and run off as you will be able to find him by the laughter from others
