CLK advice required
Discussion
As a long-time admirer of the C209 CLK, I've recently been looking into one as a daily driver. Initially planning on a diesel, I have since found a 320 petrol that is for sale reasonably local to me.
A 2002 Avantgarde with 126k and part-MB history (9 stamps) and the colour/spec I'm after.
I'm looking for advice on this potential purchase and also any experiences from owners of the same.

This one, cosmetically at least seems good with no blistering on arches etc. I had read/heard about possible issues with transmission oil cooler contamination but don't know how common this is.
How much are you paying for it?W209's don't really tend to rust but they do get a bit in the rear arches from stone chips get this treated & you should be okay.
Change the Gearbox Fluid as it's probably not been done & remember it's Two Spark Plugs Per cylinder.
Were they around this money:

If you can stretch to it this looks like a really nice one, thin on Service History details but worth a call.

If you like it and there are none of the foibles of any car with 126k and incomplete history, buy it.
There are plenty to chose from, so don't rush and as most were bought new by well-heeled middle-Englanders, there are some great cars out there.
The 208 CLK was a huge step back for Mercedes from the elegant S124- it had fixed rear passenger windows for example- but the later cars still look great.
