Tell him to just cut a hole in it and have it sticking through. It will run cooler that way. smile

Yep , I have my stock hood hanging on the wall, really is tempting to get my jig saw out lol

The guy lives in Russia and says it rains all the time so didn't think it a good idea to have a hole in his hood

Cheers mate biggrin

joking aside, might be worth converting the stock one.. I looked into this quite a bit last year, spoke to a number of guys in US.. Aftermarket ones not only to get here are expensive, but quality isn't great.. Many of the guys had to pay through the nose to get them adjusted and tweaked to fit properly, also some nasty videos of some of them crumpling a bit at speed!!

Has he also looked at the hearbeat or Eforce blowers (not sure if they fit the LS1/6 engines though)?

Hello sunshine , that one is a tad bigger than the magnuson types ., think it would clear most pd blowers .

The slug is being tuned again as we speak , and i hope no more belt issues after lots of tweaking and $$ on different tensioners .

Hitting the dyno soon ,say a pray buddy .

Hi mate , yeah i did mention to him that it could be easier just to mod his stock hood .

I have had an RKSport hood , 2 ACI hoods and the Kenne Bell hood over the years ,I'm no expert but never had a prob with any of them quality wise .

Your right about shipping and cost , the box it comes in is similar to a fence panel biggrin , then i ship em up north at a bargain price biggrin

ACI MAGNUSON HOOD

Cheers

Hey bud
Dyno'd and tuned last year ran crap been trying to sort out what the problems are , was told the cam was to big , haven't change anything yet ,been told my combo should be ok and just needs a good tune.

So only dyno run I had was 600 rw hp 649 rw tq . Happy with that but reckon it should go up a bit with another tune, more interested in getting better drivability . Have only driven it twice since August and that was only local.

Present tuner is real busy but hope to hear some good news soon.

No maf it has been SD tuned

No mate , I think you mentioned him few years back, and he knows his stuff .

£350 just to get it up there , was recommended protuner nearer to me , real cool guy and feel if he can't sort it I need to change parts, and no that doesn't mean bolting on one of those belt driven turbo centri thingys .

biggrin
