Strap threads come up fairly regularly on here, but I've never seen Corrigia mentioned, so thought, I'd post some pictures of my recent purchases.

As soon as I'd ordered the watch, I started looking for alternative straps. I'd gone through pretty much every seller in Europe on a list of strap makers on a Panerai forum. Decided on Corrigia, as their leathers looked the nicest.

Strap 1 - K01 – Kampfschwimmer 1 with Marina Militare screw in buckle

Strap 2 - PRE-V 03 – Tabac with sewn in buckle (no longer showing on the site, so possibly sold out now)

Strap 3 - Prototipo 08 with sewn in buckle

Comparison of the 3 new ones

Comparison with the Panerai one

There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Panerai strap, but it's a bit too clinical and small. Compared to the others, it's a bit stiffer as well.

The new ones are really comfortable, a nice supple leather, and really have the size to suit the watch.

I'd ordered the top 2 initially, then changed my mind on the buckle, so emailed and asked if I could change them. No problems he chucked in 2 Marina Militare buckles for free.

Then you can imagine my surprise when they are delivered and there's a 3rd strap in the pack. I emailed to check it wasn't a mistake, and he said it was a gift, which I thought on top of the buckles was a really nice touch.

They're not the cheapest straps, but the quality is excellent. The colours and texture of the straps are so much nicer than the Panerai one.

Beautiful Panerai strap with the insignia of Decima MAS, the WWII special forces unit that wore them for their sabotage ops.

He (Serge) does a ton of others too. All beautifully made.

Looks really nice, but would have to pay customs to get one from America. Although the exchange rate makes them reasonablly priced.

The normal leather type ones look really good, but some of the others are a bit garish. Would feel a bit weird wearing an ostrich or shark strap hehe

they look very thick - suits that watch, but would be strange on a lot of others. Do they wear nicely on the wrist?

Yeah, they are very chunky. I'm tempted to put one on another of the watches to see what it looks like, but I don't really have any other watches that would suit a leather strap.

I've only tried the 'Tabac' one for a little bit and it's really nice. It's quite soft leather, so comfortable against the skin and quite, sort of, elastic. I'll probably rotate them. He's put some new ones up on the site as well and they look really nice, so might go back for another couple once I've tried all these for a while.

Looks and feels a lot better than standard. The standard one looks out of place on the wrist compared to one of these.
