Buying a car and you get offered something like this: http://www.motorpoint.co.uk/extras/paintprotection

On the face it, great thing to have but expensive..

Wondered if guys on here get this sort of thing done independently and if so then where? Have a small kid and fabric seats and kids don't go too well so need something to protect those too.

Cheers
p.s. I am based around Milton Keynes

Been covered on this forum numerous times.

Concensus was that you are better of with a proper coat of wax every few months.

Fabric stuff = scotch guard.

You can buy the Kits on eBay for a few quid, sold by the crap foreign valeters that don't bother applying it.
The polish is pretty crap anyway to be honest, any half decent polish will do a similar or better job.
The interior stuff is ok, but does have a limited lifespan.

For the interior go for a can of scotchguard. The more expensive alternatives are effectively the same thing. Large Asda stores sell a special auto can or look on eBay / Amazon.

As far as the exterior is concerned the new ceramic style coatings really do take some beating. Easy to apply and they make vehicles ridiculously easy to clean. No need to spend silly money either:

GTechniq is another one worth considering but I always find their kits quite complicated. Loads of good sellers on the net though who can advise you.
