Decided to visit three different covered bridges during today's casual drive. Enjoy!

And saw what one horsepower looks like wink

A question from the other side of the pond. Why would you put a lid on a bridge? They look great but I can't think why you'd do it.

We get snow... Many meters of it each year. Probably helps keep them safe in weather 6x that which shuts down London.

You've still got to get along the road through the snow though. Still I guess it stops you sliding off into the river and it must protect the bridge from the weather.

Thanks for the reply.

They plow the tarmac roads quite well, yet plowing the wood on the bridge is not a good idea. There is also weight limits and the Bentley itself gets close to that(!). They do a great job at keeping the roads open, yet an inch or three on the road can be truly a joy for fun driving. Some of the most fun driving the B, frankly, is in the snow.

Love driving on snow too. Not quite so keen on the salt they throw everywhere in this country - dissolves old cars overnight.
