Seeing as you asked - Balotelli and Allen, at the very least. I think Lucas is better than Allen and I'm sure there are better players out there for that job than either. I've already said all I can about Balotelli. I'd wave them both off.
Lovren under a different manager might be a different player; he certainly was at Southampton. I take the point about Lallana, Coutinho and Firminho. God knows but at least we have a choice. But again I think Lallana is better than he's showed so far.
Agree with most of this. I also think Lovren could be a different player under another manager and Klopp is supposed to be good at sorting out a defence. In the two seasons he won the league, his teams conceded 25 goals or fewer. Same with Lallana, definitely a confidence player, must be hard for such a player to come into an under-performing team.Lovren under a different manager might be a different player; he certainly was at Southampton. Not sure about Lucas and Allen. Lucas has been good this season, but not consistently so. He's also in his final years and becoming quite injury prone. Depending on how Klopp sets up, we'll either make do with both covering each other's injuries, or neither will be an enforcer enough, so both will have to go.
What will be interesting is how some of the players who performed poorly previously now do. There is now no hiding or excuses.
I won't disagree that BR didn't do well in this and last season and everything wrong was on him not the players - this really irks me because there were a number of occasions he had nothing to do with some players just being downright crap - poor judgement decisions, miss hits, bad passes etc
I expect some previously poor players to now up their game as it's quite natural and also see a few opinions overcome.
I think it will also be interesting on here for a while for obvious reasons.

This is my view as well.
I'm 33 - just about remember the last time we won the title. In my teenage/adult life the 2013/14 season is the only time I have truly believed we would win the title. I'll always be grateful to BR for that. Sadly there is a saying that nobody ever remembers who comes second so ultimately it meant nothing, and he managed to chuck it away with his usual cock sure view that he is always right and isn't willing to do the obvious things that everyone else seems to see.
When I was watching the Palace game that season I just couldn't believe what happened, I didn't like BR from day one and I still don't, he has always been able to talk the talk but not walk the walk and lets face it pretty much anyone can talk the talk...its delivering the goods that is the hard bit.

Lovren at Southampton had two quality CDM's in front of him in Schneiderlin and Wanyama. If whoever gets the job brings in a decent player to play in front of Lovren, you have yourself a really good CB.
Interesting. I've watched Allen screen his defence (as part of a midfield 2) superbly over the last 12 months. I think Klopp will like Super Joe. phil_cardiff said:

I think he settle in to high tempo high pressing game.
I wouldst be surprised to see him build the team around Can, he is an outstanding prospect and he will know him from German football.

Whilst many footballers may not be considered potential Nobel Laureates themselves I'm sure an awful lot of easily recognise and then can't help but be affected by the notion that the person in front if them is talking a load of bks.
Notwithstanding the decency do his departure statement, I just don't see how any of them can have had any faith in BR by the end. How could you when everything someone says suggests that they don't live in the real world that you inhabit?
His last post match interview after the Everton game is still on the BBC website. It's 4:05 long. I thought I'd watch it again to see how it felt knowing that he's now gone. I lasted 38 seconds before I just couldn't stand it any more.
I would like to believe and hope that there'll be a huge degree of optimism in the dressing room now because the players know they won't have to listen to it any more either. I hope we certainly do see a some players again looking as good as they did before we bought them and BR then confused and demoralised the st out of them.
A year ago I was all for not changing for change's sake and giving the bloke a chance. But we did and he proved beyond any doubt that he wasn't up to it. Onwards and upwards.

I'm rather hoping that any change of formation or high tempo pressing stuff comes after you're next game.I think he settle in to high tempo high pressing game.

Good point really. He's the first LFC manager in my 51 years that I didn't bother listening to his interviews (after the first few). He was a master at saying very little that seemed to make any sense or reflected what I had just watched.Notwithstanding the decency do his departure statement, I just don't see how any of them can have had any faith in BR by the end.
