So, story is that the car was left with the dealer, and clipped by a delivery truck whilst parked on the forecourt, they're repairing the car but I thought I'd see what people think should be done on top of that to make up for it?

Not me by the way, her-

My dad works for the group who own that garage. I've just text him to ask for the background!

From a personal perspective, yes, if you've been told "enjoy dinner for two" you may as well have a nice meal... but 2 bottles of wine, 4 glasses of champagne and the other drinks is too much. Enjoy a bottle of wine by all means, but no need to be excessive like that.

Sounds more like a drinking session than a meal. Bet she doesn't even remember if it was any good!

It was a reasonable gesture and now next time something similar happens they'll have to enforce a set of rules, because she couldn't behave appropriately.

I'd say fix and keep you mobile with an equivalent car.

These days an apology just isn't enough is it, always about "what more can I get out of this"

Anyway I think it's excessive, she knew what she was doing and if they didn't pay up she'd go to the media like she did.

Glad they're only paying half.

Heard her on that show last week, the presenter couldn't stop laughing at her.

If that had been me I think I would have gone to somewhere local like The Grove or The Bedford Arms, if it's still there & had a nice Sunday lunch & left it at that.

She took the piss.... Audi being more than generous with paying for half. Will teach her a lesson. Unfortunately these days a lot of people are self centred...

Sad world really. In my work I sometimes hear these compensation claims. The car should be put right to a good standard with a suitable replacement car during the work.

IMO compensation is for replacing any financial losses incurred.

a ridiculous piss take on behalf of Miss Yap. Carrying on like she's just bought a brand new RS6 & a couple of R8s rather than a second hand pram! Audi wrongly assuming that modern Britain would show any restraint or humility when presented with such an invitation

Reminds me of the story of a musician who, on being dropped by his record label in London, was told he could get a taxi home - at their expense.

He hailed a taxi home - to scotland!!!!!!!!

Bearing in mind she hadn't even taken delivery of her used car she's definitely taking the piss.

She drives an A3.

Dinner at a Michelin restaurant (three-course set lunch with matching wine pairing for two people and service would have only been £125) with the drinks bill of a millionaire is not appropriate.

Looks like her chavvy greed is backfiring though, as she's deleted all her social media profiles.

And was she so stupid as to leak this to the media? If it was the garage that did it, that's not on, but if she did it herself, it shows how thick she is.....

Spot on. Sick of this compensation garbage.
