Duxford - Multi convoy meet up? Sign here!

This is just an idea, but how feasible is a multi-convoy meet up on the way to Duxford?

There are a few threads on various meeting spots, south of the venue; Kent,South Mimms, etc.

If everyone is intererested, could the main organiser of each convoy post the route of their respective convoy on this thread. At least two people from the South Mimms convoy are taking cam-corders to capture the antics, so we could get some fantastic footage!

I'm planning to lead a convoy of Suffolk Region and possibly some Essex Region from the A12/A14 junction (Ipswich) leaving at 10.30am. So if you fancy doing a detour you can join us, thought I expect the M11 is more sensible for you?

Hav'nt properly consulted a map yet, but I know the South Mimms crew and I will be going A10 onwards.

Are there any services on the M11 that we can meet at ?

Birchanger services at the Stansted roundabout, there will be some TVR's meeting there at 10:15 to leave at 10:30 approx.

May have left this a bit too late. But, will have a proper look tomorrow after work. Stanstead might be an idea though.....

For al those of us who will be going south to Duxford on the A1 how about meeting at the Little Chef at Chesterton nr Peterborough at say 1100 or 1200, surely by then there nust be a decent convoy of us.

I'd love to be joining you lot there (might even fit in an Olympic breakfast before the off ) but I'll be in Cumbria on holiday .

You can all floor 'em down the lovely four lane bit of the A1 towards the A14 turn off – no cameras BRILLIANT!

Watch out for the numpties tho'

For what it's worth at such a late stage, yes the Dartford meet up is at 9:00 (although probably not leaving till 9:30ish)....
