Hallo S Driver,

it is long time ago I visited this nice Forum for discussion.
But now I look for a soft top for my S3C.
I found a Roof named Sorrye Roof. But it was always for Chimaera.

What can I do for more Space in the car on Holiday?
Is ist possible to take the sorrye Roof on an S3 ?

Thanks for answer

Yes the Surrey Roof is available for the S. I have one on my S3C. Frees up loads of space in the boot.

Alternatively you can try this;

Thanks for the fast answer.

The second link is very nice and easy.

The other is complicate. So you better take direkt an MX5 Roof and makes
it 5cm wider.

But not bad.

How much is the Cambrian-Sirrus solution ? And is it robust/waterproof/easy to fit ?

A fair bit, waterproof and easier to fit than the targas.

Takes up hardly any space in the boot.

I did look into this a while ago, but was put off by cost, from memory somewhere close to £500, but I'm sure a quick call to them would confirm.

Probably no more than a new roof on the S anyway? They are in the order of £600 bespoke fitted.

True but with a hood replacement you get the back bit and new window!

It isn't a huge financial leap from a (professional) full refurb of the targa panels including replacing the tangs with stainless steel to a Surrey Roof.

Best, non performance, mod to my TVRs.

Dave The Trimmer quoted me around £800 earlier in the year to renew the standard hood.

Well, I think I make the Version with the Hardtop in the wall :-)

Optional in Addition the surrey Roof. You mean 500Pound ist much?
Yes, it is. But the contruction from Porsche is over 2000 (not finished).
Ready to Mount Version in black is between 5000 and I think I wont speak about.
The surrey Roof is perhaps not so complicate than the Porsche one, but the
result is the same.

thanks for all idears and comments

My two targa panels needed complete refurb - recovering inside and out plus replacing the 8 tangs which were rusting. Added up to about £350ish with a mixture of DIY stuff and professional trimmers.

Surrey roof about £500ish. So not a huge additional cost (£150) imho. Although, I still have the targas to do at some point biggrin

I have the Surrey roof and it's pretty good. I think it's a useful solution but not perfect. I love the look of joes folding roof - just wish I could simply order one :-)
