Project Cars (PS4) - Pistonheads Racing League (PRL)
Discussion
Welcome to the Pistonhead's Racing League (PRL), we strive to have the best racing experience possible and most important of all to have fun and the rules/settings reflect this. It doesnt matter if your Michael Schumacher or James May, as long as your having fun and a clean racer thats all that matters to us. Please find below the setup/rules although some of these are not set in stone so can be changed if the majority of drivers want to:

Race Length: 30 mins roughly
Driving aids: All Aids are allowed
Mechanical Failures: No
Damage: Visual Only
Tyre Wear: Real
Flags/Penalties: Off
League Length: 10 weeks totaling 20 races
Tracks:
1) Brands Hatch GP - 20 laps
2) Bathurst - 14 laps
3) Hockenheim Ring GP - 18 laps
4) Spa - 12 laps
5) Laguna Seca - 20 laps
6) Nurburgring Nordschleife - 4 laps
7) Monza (Full) - 15 laps
8) Donington Park GP - 20 laps
9) Sonoma Raceway GP - 20 laps
10) Road America - 14 laps
Warm down Laps
The final lap of every race will be a warm down lap (Nordschleife being an exception) so for example at brands hatch as soon as you enter lap 20 then you would be on your warm down lap, this is to let everyone who is still racing finish within the timer
Rules/Driving Standards:
These rules/standards are set up for the benefit of everyone but dont worry I understand that everyone can make mistakes so only extreme cases or persistent fouling would ever be penalized outside of the race iteself.
1) Being a gentleman
This one is pretty simple and most people probably already know it already but for those who dont, if your contact results in someone spining or going off the track you should let them back through immediately. If the other driver says its ok for you to go then this is fine.
2) Rubbin's Racing
Contact is inevitable in any motorsport so it is allowed except when it would cost the other driver a position, cause them to spin or forcing them off the track.
3) Rejoining a track
If you have spun on the track then please stay still on the track till all nearby cars have safely passed you if applicable, if you have went off and are rejoining then please stay on one side of the track until you have picked up speed then move onto the racing line when safe to do so.
4) Backmarkers
No one wants to be lapped ( I know it used to happen to me a lot lol ) but ive seen some accidents happen because the backmarker has tried to defend against the car thats lapping them. Thankfully Project Cars has tools to let you know if the approaching car is lapping you or someone you are battling for position. The back marker should get a “Blue Flag” but an easy way to tell is that if the car that is approaching isnt a green circle on your track map then they arent the ones you are battling with.
When it comes to the overtaking its up to the chasing car to get past cleanly although if the lapped car decides to move over to let them past then please do so in a safe place I.e a straight
5) Track Limits
Nothing special here just keep 2 tyres within the white lines.
6) Lights On
You are allowed to flash your headlights at drivers to let backmarkers know to let you past or to put the other driver under pressure but please dont do this going into a braking zone as this could cause the other driver to miss their braking point.
7) Last but certainly not least
I doubt anyone would but under no circumstances must you be verbally abusive towards any other driver either on the mic or in messages as this will likely result in you being banned from the League.
Reporting Incidents:
If you are unhappy with another persons driving then you MUST NOT say anything at the time to the other driver but instead save the replay amd then either take a pic or record the video of the incident using the share button, finally all you need to do is send me a PM on Pistonheads with the pic/video and a message describing the issue and I will look at it. Its a bit of work I know but unfortunately the replay system is basic so I cant see it any other way unless I notice it at the time.

I'm up for this - you know my PSN but for others - Havoc856-s
Will this be a points based championship? Or will there be other factors involved... Also are controller monkeys (like myself) allowed in it?
I'm looking at running a BTCC style circuit list with GT3/4/Touring Cars 'Reprobate' Championship with the BF4 guys... Anyone wanting some casual fun...send a pic of yourself to..... you're more than welcome there too.

Too early for me, I'm afraid. Have to wait until the missus goes to bed! Will happily join any casual fun. Psn: o-Ali-o
And CJ , if that's your tag above, I spent a big chunk of time chasing you around Bathurst and Hockenheim earlier, though I gave up at the wet Road America! Couldn't get the Ginetta to drive down the straights, never mind corner!
