I'm honestly still amazed that anyone involved in Formula 1 let alone people whose job it is would think a pit stop was appropriate ever in that situation.

It doesn't matter how many seconds in front he was, it could have been 40, you never give up track position. EVER.

Surely the only strategy you consider at Monaco is along the lines of "we make our 1 and only pit stop at lap 38. From lap 20 on if a SC comes out we make our 1 and only pit stop. That's it. No other scenario gets considered unless it rains."

Looking back to the Monaco GP in 1984, it seems that they have form for not necessarily awarding the win to the first guy across the line so perhaps they can yet give the win to Lewis.

Nah she seems really nice. A few people I know lambasted her for being 'too fake'. As if being that photogenic was a fault of her own making.

If I ever meet Nicola or Gigi, I'd revert to a Kevin the Teenager mess within seconds of 'hello'.

So it was a group error

The team said to stay out, I said 'these tyres are going to drop in temperature,' and what I was assuming was that these guys would be on options and I was on the harder tyre. So, they said to pit. Without thinking I came in with full confidence that the others had done the same."

Even so, at Monaco how was anyone going to overtake.
