Only problem with ebay is the tire kickers and time wasters.

Also I have no idea what to ask for them!

Just had a look at similar Thunderbirds on a US site. They are priced from $250 for a complete snotter to $19,000 for a pristine example with only 13k miles.

The most common prices seem to be $4000 to &8000.

Problem over here is how much someone wants that car.

For example Crown Vics are ten a penny in the States and can be had for peanuts yet over here they command a big premium.

I sold my 2000 Grand Marquis (Posh version of the Crown Vic) for £4500 yet my '98 e36 BMW is probably worth £500.

Depends how quickly you want to move the cars on.

I thought they were worth anout 5k the pair but i might be sadly mistaken after what someone offered me!

It seems to be impossible to get a real valuation, there either worth not a lot or scrap value it seems.

God knows.

Are you saying someone offered you considerably less than £5k for the pair?

If so they're taking the piss.

Personally I would stick them on an eBay auction. Start them at 99p but put a reserve of £4k on each one. Ignore all the people who ask what your reserve is and tell them to bid what they want to pay.

You'll either sell them or get an offer somewhere around what you might take. You might have to list them a few times though to get some interest in them.

Personally I think the T-Bird is worth around £4k and the Lincoln £3k.

Cheeky blighters.

I was gonna offer £2k for the T-Bird but I knew I'd be taking the pee.

I think Roo is about right with £4k. It's just about finding someone out there that wants it.

Not sure I would describe them as "big gas guzzlers".

The Lincoln is actually using the Ford DEW98 platform which is shared with the Jaguar S-type. The Later Thunderbird also shared this "chassis"

The Lincoln used either a Jaguar V6 or Jaguar V8 as it's powerplant, so it is in for all intents and purposes a Jaguar S-type in drag.

To be fair thats not a supercoupe on Ebay, havent seen one for a long long time.

I think however after some looking around the value of the thunderbird is around 2-3k if you can get it.

Might well list it later and see what happens.

If someone picked them up I would let the two go for 4k which is a lot of car for the money.

The licnoln is immaculate inside, bit of bubbling round the wheel arches on the front and a few other marks with a perfect engine and gear box, couple of springs on the front and two rear tie bars and youve got a very fast comfortable car for not a lot of money.

Cheers

That supercoupe is pretty amazing looking. Even back home in the US they are rare, and with the manual they are even MORE rare and command a premium. My brother picked one up for peanuts and fixed it up, but it was nowhere as nice as yours.

I would do like others have recommended and put it up on Ebay, but do some research on them and point out the rarity, performance, etc.

Why not give Anglia Car Auctions a call.
Very friendly staff and only 5% sellers fee.
They'll give you a valuation and collect, next auction is 22August but I'm sure they'd have the cars now.

I have no affiliation with them, just a happy customer.
