It happened sooner than I thought. Kids, they just keep on getting bigger, and the Lib just wasn't wide enough. First car I've ever thought I'll miss, made worse by the fact that I can't think of anything to replace it with, and at the moment will mean no more Subes for me. Oh well, onwards!

I had the previous gen Leggy which was a superb car. A little piece of me broke inside when I sold it. Loved that car and the flexibility it provided when hauling kids around.

Bugger, I want another one.

Its been replaced by a Volvo V70 for the space, but really could not find anything that combines the Lib's combination of qualities all in one package that's just a little bit bigger.

Relatives of mine went from an Outback to a Tribeca when their kids got too big. Their problem was head and legroom for tall teenagers rather than width though.

Friend has a Tribeca for his three kids, but I really didn't want to succumb to the 7-seater yet... Though after ten years of Subarus, with a Mazda thrown in the mix, I already miss the build quality of a Japanese car. Sounds daft on a website that reveres German barges as the pinnacle, but none of the Sube's I've owned have ever rattled or squeaked or creaked or felt like they might not survive. Not sure the V70 feels quite so sound. The kids'll find out for me.
