Had to hit the login button again this morning. Didn't take me to the login page, just to where I was but logged in.

I now have to login every morning, bit of a pain and not sure why.

Like others, I'm still having to hit Login each time I start a new browser, despite having logged out and back in again per Pete's instruction from Tuesday. Chrome (latest stable) on Win 8.1

Like, it seems, all the others I still have to log in when I come home to PH

From our point of view it wasn't bust

Wish you hadn't fixed it frown

EDIT Firefox (whatever is the latest iteration), on Win 7

Got a new problem now, not 100% certain if it's PH's problem, but works elsewhere!
If I try and cut and paste something, right clicking does not bring up the normal menu (cut, copy, paste etc) but using ctrl V does work.

Windows 7 and Chrome. smile

Hi, during login change over you've defaulted me to the login I used to use for classifieds.

My main forum login does not work and I cannot see my threads. Can you change me back to my original account please?

Thanks
The dev team are trying to get in contact with you to sort this out - can you either PM me or email support and we will sort.

Sorry in advance for the techy response here...

As part of our investigations today the cookie that is being put on your computer to know you are logged in to the forums is not being set with any expiry date - thus, when you close the browser it is not remembering you being logged into the forums (though the system remembers you are logged into PistonHeads overall).

Users of Chrome that have signed into Chrome (little name in the top right of the browser says if you have) don't have this problem, as it remembers all the session cookies from before - thus you stay logged in.

Anybody who has My Stuff as their homepage, (or the first page they visit) also wont suffer from this problem.

We are still working through the code to find the gremlin that is causing this to get a fix out so you do not have to click Login all the time.

Pete, sorry to say but I'm logged into every Chrome browser I have, and I still get this problem.

For everyone in the office that is the case with Chrome (on Windows and different versions) here, but it looks like that isn't universal for all Chrome users then.... Apologies.

For any user of IE9 struggling to login still we are working on the problem.

A workaround at the moment is to press F12 before hitting the login button and then it works fine. If you have chosen remember me then you will not need to go through that screen for a while.

Had to login in again today. First time for 3 or 4 days. Prior to logging in today, it was like going back in time. I could access the stuff in My Stuff and it would take me back in time say 2-3 weeks ago. Then up to date access after login.

I'm being asked to login on my iPad every time I go away from piston heads.

It never used to do this and is really annoying.

As I am asked to reset every time I log in I thought the quickest way in wou8ld be to go straight to the password reset link previously provided in my email. This morning I had to have three goes at resetting.

IE11, Windows 7.

And yes, I click Remember Me, but it doesn't.

No idea what pressing F12 does biggrin, but it has worked for me, thanks.

Could someone help me please. I've sent a few e mails but had no luck.

When all accounts were merged a while back I did as requested.

Now I can't remember my original password, and I think my registered e mail is a dead account that I don't have access to.

My original user name was melhookv12

I have set up this account melhoookv12 in order to post here. ( please note the extra ' o ' ).

One e mail I sent sent to a guy with an out of office reply saying the guy doesn't work there anymore. I forwarded to the e mail but have had no reply.
I've also e mailed the adverts e mail but no luck.

Anyhelp greatly appreciated. Not sure what to do to reset and regain my original account and posts.

I've still got a very short lease time on the cookie requiring me to click login every few hours...
