Hi, has any one or does anyone know of someone that could recharge the R12 gas in my mx5 roadster in the Oxfordshire area? I had my R33 GTR done by a mobile guy a few years back but I've no idea who he was now!

You wont find R12 around any more and is illegal to use. You should be able to recharge with R134a instead or a drop in refrigerant.

The connections for R12 are different to R134 so you'll need adaptors but they're only a couple of quid

I used to regas my old R12 system with RS24 which was a drop in and worked very well.

The guy was Basingstoke based: http://www.car-aircon-basingstoke.co.uk/

Friendly guy, good pricing and provided good service on my Audi S2 and at the time an audi a6 on R134a including a compressor swap.

Cheers
David

That's a shame, he is no longer working due to illness.
