A bit of "Googling" will throw up a few old Ford parts stockists, you may hit lucky but a part like that which is prone to corrosion could command a high price should you be lucky enough to find one.

I think there is one in Germany that one or two owners have found useful?

What's up with yours? Second hand and comes with a few other bits but may not be any better condition.......... clicky

ETA. "Motomobil" is the German one I was trying to think of but they don't have one

But here's one in Sweden , about £8 if I've got my sums right smile

Thanks phillpot,
I have registered with the Swedish company and asked for a quotation, maybe I will be lucky. The price is very attractive. Basically, my thermo housing is very badly corroded internally and does not seal anymore.

See photo - that's all that was left of the thermostat ! eek !

I might consider machining an insert ring (from stainless ?) to press fit into the existing housing and make a new seating .... as a last resort.

Nice, if you have the facilities.

Cleaned up it might not be so bad, could possibly be retrieved with a bit of... scratchchin

Again, thanks for the input phillpot. I noticed you mentioned this "chemical metal" in another recent post and this could be a good solution for my problem.

Last Post (Whinge) Follow Up : After a few weeks of trying to understand the Swedish website, I finally managed to buy this one from Bildelsbasen.se, so if anybody else needs something, this could be a good future source.
Price was very good too, so all-round happy right now smile

It might be worth trying this guy for bits in the future. I have been looking for a supplier of the electrical connector from the throttle pot since I bought my car in February because the original one was badly butchered. Managed to get a brand new original ford part from this guy..
