I'm taking the Tusc to perpengion next week to watch Wigan play Catalan dragons . I'm taking a tank full of petrol , passport , euros , hi vis , breathalyser kit , warning triangle , driving license , sat nav , sun glasses!! Spare oil , change headlamp settings is there anything I've missed , thanks in advance so looking forward to it !!!!
A liber-t tag to save messing about at the tolls (and to play chicken with the automatic barriers ), but not sure you will be able to get one in time now?
You are so near to some great roads into the Pyrenees that it would be rude not to take some of them in. Carcassonne is also a pretty cool stop off.

I would take a spare throttle cable.. I always got advised by Track V Road to carry one if travelling abroad, I believe they can be a pig to get hold of at short notice should one fail.
+1 had to repair this last time in italy with a cable of a motorbike. of course workable but not advised.

+ 1 for throttle cable, but I would get it changed before you go as its a bit awkward at the side of the road and also take a spare.
Also aircon & alternator belt, fuel pump relay ??
Agree with this.Also aircon & alternator belt, fuel pump relay ??
Breathalyser kit law is not being enforced. However, I believe a 1st Aid kit is mandatory..
I'd add mobile 'phone and recovery service.
Note that French Traffpol MAY get humpy if your satnav has speed camera warnings on it. Look at 'Le Mans' forum and various stuff regarding 'devices' being destroyed. Having said that, we drove down to Angouleme last year and we all had satnavs plainly visible and had no issues.

Driving in France I take;
In the cabin, a hi-viz for each person in the car, two breathalyser sticks and the sanef tag.
In the boot, warning triangle, replcement bulbs for each of the replaceable bulbs on the car and first aid kit.
Not really too bothered about what the exact letter of the law. More interested in avoiding such a discussion in a foreign language at the side of a fast road.

Breathalyzers still a legal requirement- but there is NO FINE for not carrying them:
