High mileage 997 Turbo

Looking at a fun summer car (need rear seats for kids), and spotted a '61' plate 997 turbo PDK (cab - yes sorry!) with 64k miles on clock for £57k. It looks clean and mostly motorway miles.
I know most 911's have much lower mileage. I prob only do 5/6k a year so the average mileage will drop a lot while I have it.
So the question is - does this represent decent value or will I have a real problem shifting it on in a year or two?

Depends how long you keep it, if you're keeping it 4-5 years that milage will be normal, if you're trying to sell it at the end of the summer the next buyer will have the same reservations as you
However this is all irrelevent as you are buying it cheap due to higher than average miles, an 11 plate would typically have 20k-30k miles on. There will always be a buyer for a cheap car, someone desperate to squeeze into a gen 2.

Problem is, your "only 5k/6k miles a year" means you will be doing roughly the average mileage for most of these cars. So during your ownership it won't become even higher mileage (relative to it's age) but I don't think it will ever drop to an average mileage car either, however long you keep it.
As mentioned - as long as you're happy to buy cheap and sell cheap, you'll probably be OK. At that sort of mileage, good history will be vital.

Thanks for the feedback. Buy cheap, sell cheap is the thinking, and as pointed out it might appeal as cheap Gen2 as it has PDK, Chrono, Torque vectoring etc.,
It has full main dealer history, although only 3 services at 18k, 37k and 55k, which doesn't seem a lot but I'm not familiar with the service schedule on these, and I guess that's one a year. Might soon need a service I guess.

A few years back, Porsche went to 20k / 2 year service intervals I think. No, but they're all midgets so hoping they'll be OK I'll take my 10 year daughter along when I go to view!
The other cars on the shortlist are M6 cab (I can get nearly new for similar money to 5 year old 997.2 TT) or a Cali, but my budget only gets me in an early '09 with the 7 year cover almost ended, and after my last Ferrari experience I'd want a long warranty

There are quite a few reasonable price 997.1 turbo tips around with <30k miles on '09'/'10' plates. I can get a 997.2 for around 10k more BUT all with nearer 50k miles. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/2015...
Which represents the better value and resale proposition? Are the non PDK cars now unloved? I can't get manual as the wife won't drive it.

take both for a drive and see which you prefer. Thanks - I've rung and spoken to Dan and they sound very helpful. I'm going down there next week.Also what is the situation as regards Porsche warranty. Does a car have to be kept on the scheme from new (as with M cars) or can a car without be added in? I ask as there are two cars I like the look of here. One older with warranty, and one newer (& PCM3) seemingly without.
Also should I worried about a '57' plate with only 14k miles?

The second one says it's an 'S' but looks like a standard turbo given the rear decals. Although I'm not 100% sure what an 'S' offers a standard turbo - it's taking a while to get my head around all the variants!

You can put on Porsche warranty for sure and I would have any turbo you purchase put through a 111 point check and warranty before parting with your cash if not buying from a porsche specialist like 911 Virgin, RSJ Cars, Paragon etc. OPCs tend have very good cars too with 2 year quibble free warranties. 911 virgin have their own warranty which is bumper to bumper as far as I'm aware. RSJ have there own warranty too as do Paragon, The 911 Virgin car with 22,000 miles looks a cracker. I personally would not worry about PCM 2 or PCM 3. Both completely outdated and I'd just buy the best condition car. Convertibles are lovely but their hoods rattle a bit.
The 14k mile car has a Porsche warranty until November so I'd be surprised if the mileage wasn't legit? It came from a main dealer 18 months ago and service stamps look good.
