Road Trip Mid/Late June - Suggestions

The wife and I plan a two/three night trip away in the Cerb in June, I was looking at taking in the Great Glen Rally on 14th but have found out it has been cancelled.

So any suggestions for someplace to go/something to see ? Ideally between 12th and 24th as I get home 11th and we are off to Assen on 25th.

Two/three nights, decent hotel, something on, doesn't have to be cars/bikes related but that would be a bonus.

BTW we live in the NE, nr Stonehaven so were looking to go north or west to avoid dual carriageways, but going south through Fife would be OK too.

As there are no other suggestions I guess it is Eric's for a few nights with a Full Scottish each morning, I just hope that isn't a euphemism.

Murray, why not do the " North Coast 500" route?

Night 1 - Torridon (see Steve Carter's site).

Night 2 - John O’Groats (stay at " The Inn at John O’Groats").

Night 3 - Eric's house (for a " full Scottish" in the morning).

I was looking for something to go to, a festival of some kind, a rally perhaps, a Sado/Masochist convention maybe, one option was the Anorgasmia Conference but I told them I couldn't come.

Hi Murray,
If it's of interest there are around 10-15 TVRs heading up to the car show in Tain the weekend of the 21st of June. Some of us will be heading up on the Friday and making a weekend of it. I'll be spending the Saturday taking the Cerb right up to the north coast.

Thanks that sounds great but I may have to put my planned trip in the Cerb on hold unless I can get a pass out as we have dog problems and don't want to leave him in kennels at the moment.

If I can get away can you let me know if there is a plan to stop for lunch, as I guess most will go up the A9, but I will take the Deeside then across by Tomintoul meeting the A9 around Carrbridge.

Do you know what hotels most of the TVR guys are planning on using ?
