Hello All,

Does anybody have any experience with separating the rubber fuel return hose from the fuel rail ? There appears to be something like a simmerring inside the chrome plated coupling - what is that ?

I can't figure out how to separate these and I don't want to break something, which could be expensive to fix. I'm normally good at breaking things, so I want to play safe with this one smile

Any help much appreciated.

My guess is it works something like a John Guest coupling? Possibly there is a "special tool" to push that radial spring (photo 2) forward and release it?

Has yours not got an additional safety clip and little white plastic bit? Spare one here if you do break it wink

Thanks for the info phillpot. Mine is as seen in the photos, there is and was no safety clip or plastic bit.
I'm also wondering why they need this type of connector here ? The fuel inlet hose was fixed with just a jubilee clip.

Dear All, I mixed up the inlet and outlet here. The chrome connector is actually on the fuel inlet, not the return (correction thanks to phillpot).
Also, just to finalise this thread, I found this video on how to disconnect this.
