I thought a few tracks were charging for damage now?
Nurburgring can cost you thousands with the amount they charge for armco repairs
Nurburging is not a track it's a toll road and subject to German road laws.Nurburgring can cost you thousands with the amount they charge for armco repairs
I think MSV are just being more active in applying pre-existing damage clauses. There have been some major changes in the last few years that have come about following court cases (and their outcomes).
That said, if I were wishing to test my car to the limits I'd be going on a Testday not a Trackday. Testdays are competitive, Trackdays are not. Something a few drivers don't get no matter how many times they're told in the briefings.

we had to sign a agreement to replace the turf if we went off there,
Are we allowed to leave tyre marks on the tarmac if we lock up ? or do we have to jetwash them off .brett84 said:
does anyone who's going have a helmet I could borrow please?
Yes. How big is your head? Measure around your head with a tape measure (a ruler would be not a lot of use !!), horizontally, about one inch above your eyes. If the answer is between 59 and 62 cm I can help.
If no use, and nobody offers, they can be hired at the track for a tenner.

Still on standard tyres Ian?
Yep. However I have some r888s in the garage I can swap over on my 16 inch wheels or I have some 17 inch Mo 5s and can get some track tyres to fit. Haven't thought about what sizes I need though and which tyres so I best get my arse in gear. Either way I should have decent track rubber come 15th.Okay qbee, 17x7.5 what do I need to get as close as I can to match 225/45/16 front and 245/45/16 rear?
Looking forward to meeting up

225/40/17 and 245/40 17 is the obvious answer - avoids any risk of rubbing issues as they are the same width and 1 to 3 mm smaller in diameter. When you think that a new track tyre has 5-6 mm of tread and a knackered one has 1.5mm of tread, ie about an 8 mm diameter difference between new and old, 1-3mm smaller is insignificant.Okay qbee, 17x7.5 what do I need to get as close as I can to match 225/45/16 front and 245/45/16 rear?
