UK thing not restricted to cars. People like to think they got a deal, know something others don't, got special service etc etc not realising they only play to the sellers/dealers/brokers tune

Some people prefer to keep details to themselves. Understandable. I was just responding to above post suggesting 300k set the bar - but it did not sell for 300k.

PS New owner isn't on PH (AFAIK) and he is the only one likely to reveal price - and I can't see why he would want to do that. Can you?

Yes. But I am not prepared to tell you how I know - nor would my source want to me to. Actually seems a number of other PHers local to the dealer have similar info looking at the RS thread - and one has put a figure on it. Try hassling them for more detail using your primary school analogy - although I doubt it will get you very far.
