very tempting, but I sold My M3 Comp as I found it a dull drive, I also had a CSl.
I dare not risk a GTS in case I did not like it.
But I always love the look and colour and how rare they are.
458S is a very very awesome car, best thing I have ever driven.
be great to see yours, I'll bring along the GT4
It's nothing like the m3 comp. I used to race a CSL In wide body GTR format in Britcar and my GTS is more like that for entertainment and pace. I've still got a road csl, bastardised but it was long before they became a rare thing with no going back.I dare not risk a GTS in case I did not like it.

It's having a revival and is bound to piss an awful lot of people off when they see it!
You wouldn't be bored by the GTS at all.
Gt4 looks fabulous and I really want one. You can find me at all the RMA Trackdays except for Oulton.

It certainly went up for that price and did sell but there isn't any evidence it was at that price.
It was in that region though by all accounts. I've definitely been asked for £250 to £300k for an RS
That is not value in my opinion. It's only marginally better in real terms than the GT3 and not worth twice the money.
£200k is probably the right price but I am sure you will see £100k+ mark-ups and people will pay. I don't understand why there isn't similar behaviour with the 458 Speciale. Sure, they are selling for overs now but only marginally.

Re point above - I guess this is due to the Spec. Price being so much higher to start with ?

it isn't 15. Quite a few were exported. There are 9 in the UK, 4 reportedly on SORN but that doesn't include mine now on SORN, so 5 on SORN, 4 on the road. It used to be 8 cars so I suspect one of those is actually LHD.
I have got hold of most of the owners on www.bmwm3gts.com
I see one is up in the 120s. In standard form, they are similar to a 997 GT3 Gen II CS.
I can confirm 120s is the going rate. Like you I also have a CSL, which I agree is different, but no less entertaining. Both great cars. I have got hold of most of the owners on www.bmwm3gts.com

.
If you go give trouble of corner weighting it you can see that BMW made it to be good as LHD with the battery offsetting driver etc. As is often the case with a front engine rwd car it doesn't work as well as its LHD peer.
BMW were really lazy leaving a 90ah battery in that weighs almost 30kgs! A 50ah lithium battery saves 23kg and helps resolve the balance more like LHD.
Thee isn't an inch of that car I don't know now!

That's interesting. I suspect it's also the very aggressive suspension set up on the LHD. It's almost too low. BMW were really lazy leaving a 90ah battery in that weighs almost 30kgs! A 50ah lithium battery saves 23kg and helps resolve the balance more like LHD.

It's fully adjustable and has two recommended BMW settings in the manuals, one for track and one for road. The LHD is obviously on track setting. It's as low as a 991 gt3 then with similar splitter scrape issuesw5pwr said:
Lots of non Club Sports around, but very few Club Sports with Lift and Ceramics.
Would be interesting to know the split between Comfort and Club Sport in RHD form and how many Club Sports have Ceramics fitted?
Always seemed a strange spec to me. Would be interesting to know the split between Comfort and Club Sport in RHD form and how many Club Sports have Ceramics fitted?
You have CS if you are going to be doing regular trackdays.
But if you're doing regular trackdays you wouldn't want ceramics.

ceramics last longer and while expensive, sicom can now refinished them. so prob cheaper to spec ceramics now even for track. You have CS if you are going to be doing regular trackdays.

swapping out oem disks every 3 or 4 or AP/Alcon every 10 is a very expensive game any way.
