Bad drivers of Ipswich - the latest episode. Ok, some of these are a bit lame and there's a sense of the cammer being a little bit too angry, too often but his vids have some funny editing nuances which make me chuckle.

I'm always surprised in the scary situation videos like the overtake near-miss that the person thinks to beep the horn. First of all, I'm sure the overtaker knows that they have f'ed up and is going to try and get out the way with or without the horn. But most of all, if I was driving I'd be so concerned about making sure I don't get hit I'd have all attention on avoiding the car and both hands on the wheel, that I wouldn't even think to beep at the guy.

Couldn't get very far through it, other than the odd good one, it mostly looks like regular behaviour on roads utilised by people (who make little mistakes all the time) not robots.

Though I did have to wonder, what sort of person has a star wars CD in their car...

Soon as that came on, the video went off... also looked like he was the cause of many of the issues.

Not slowing down and in some cases accelerating at traffic that moved out a little early.

Also not moving back onto his side of the road when people are pulling out, therefore he's actually blocking them.

Sad tt really.

Sadly not a dashcam, but cyclist.

Apols if a repeat, but it did rather stagger me with the sheer assertiveness on both parts, the anger on display for all and sundry to watch. NSFW.

Absolutely, I'm sure with a lot of these people they honk before braking.

The cyclist didn't help matters but easy to see why he was upset, having been run into the gutter. The car driver needs a talking to and an anger management course.

What on earth was the Discovery driver wearing... ??? Hells bells that is embarrassing...

Both could do with lessons in calming down though... truly pathetic behaviour by two "angry" men...

I've only been reading/watching for a couple of weeks here but I know what you mean about the "paranoia" seeing people at junctions etc. TBH I think reading this thread you can go one of two ways:

1) you drive about more safely because you expect Joe Punter to pull out of the side road, change lanes on the roundabout last minute, fail to see the developing queue/brakelights in front etc

2) you buy a dashcam and actively drive around putting yourself in situations where if drivers make a mistake, it'll be great YouTube footage once you edit to add witty retorts biggrin

Ideally it's a combination of 1) with the peace of mind that should the worst occur, you have 2) to show you were doing 1)...!

First off, he effectively causes the people to nearly get run down at the lights when he stops short for no good reason.
He stops so he doesn't block the junction. Pretty obvious.
A pedestrian walking out in front of a moving car in the lane nearest them is not really the fault of someone helping keep the traffic flowing.

No need to stop though, the junction clears just fine yet he stays where he is. People unnecessarily ceding right of way cause more problems than they "solve", especially when they don't check around themselves to se if they're about to tempt other people into putting themselves in harm's way... more commonly stopping on a major road to let someone out of a minor road despite on-coming traffic in the lane they're heading for, but just the same here.

When the lights go to amber the ahead of him is still on the junction, if he proceeded he would block the vehicles coming from his left.

The driver looks like Keith Allen playing a Mental Laaaandaannn Caaaant.

Cyclist sounds like a large frightened child.

I figured that the cyclist perhaps had a learning difficulty of some sort. Not sure of the correct PC term but you know what I mean.

dead right that the cyclist didn't help matters. if you are attacked by someone who is clearly a physyco in the street would you continue to wind them up? Disco was driving off but the cyclist wanted the last word.
