Just a heads up really in this area. I parked yesterday evening in the car parks behind the Cock hotel. Low and behold an afore mentioned has decided to try out their new penknife on my front tyres. Only discovered this morning whilst washing the wheels. I've now got two new ones, but luckily the very helpful chap at F1 Autocentre (highly recommended btw) said they hadn't gone down to the cord so weren't dangerous. I'm sure the knife person would not have known that.

I can't say it was 100% certain it was done at the place but I would think I'm 90% sure. No more parking and leaving the car in towns from now on.

If anyone from the area knows who is the best body to report this to then do let me know and I shall duly do so.

definitely a knife?

looks suspiciously like the gouge I've got out my 225/40/18 atm due to slicing a kerb

On both sides though Rob and it's been nowhere near kerbs. I wash it frequently and would have noticed this sort of damage. Sticks out like a sore thumb.

There's always a possibilty I've jumped to conclusions here but to me it looks like a pen knife cut - especially the strip on the other picture. As it looks to me like a blade has stopped cutting and started again.

Definitely looks more like a kerb incident as opposed to penknife althouh strange that no wheel mark - just seems an odd place and thing to do with a penknife - Stony Stratford is usually very mild isnt it ?

No it's not a kerb incident. As mentioned, it's not been near a kerb so it rules that out. It's also a cut on the nearside front and a cut on the offside front so it would have to have been a very narrow street :-) . There was zero damage to the alloys ; zero damage to the tread of the front tyres and zero damage on either of the rear tyres anywhere. Also, it would have to be quite accurate to hit glass or a sharp object in those particular positions without any other signs of impact. In my mind - and I guess I'm the only one that has seen the damage first hand, it has been done by person or persons.
