I'd probably be at this myself if I was 20 again. But what ruins a lot of these is that they are lowered to fcensoredk.
If they let the wheels sit in the arch better it would improve the look IMHO.
Not that it matters.

I ran saab vikings on my Astra mk4, with saab centre caps. £70 with (crap) tyres IIRC. The guy who sold them to me was something to do with the Saab forum and an interesting guy to have a chat to. The Astra had an Espace splitter and various SXI/GSI parts shoved into/onto it, OEM+ was what I was aiming for with it.

I was going to fit impreza wheels on my octavia but they didnt fit straight on and i felt bad about cutting up the impreza speedlines so didnt. Its a mega cheap way of getting new alloys. I could fit rover 75 wheels but dont like the look of 18"s.

Oh I almost forgot I had some RS6 reps, this was the only time they ever met he car. I paid £250 for these along with, two engine covers, a load of spare coils, OE recirc valve and the maf sensor off an A3. I found out they wern't genuine despite having taken them off the bloody car and not checking at any point and knowing that the RS6 was 112x5 FFS.

I test fitted, thought they looked stupid as you can all see then sold them for £180 to a chap over facebook while ebay wasnt letting me log in. They'd sold on ebay at auction for £290 seconds before the auction closed having listing them 3 times already and not getting any bids. Still had to pay the £29 ebay fee. frown

I had Mercedes S500 wheels on my old Golf GTI, most people had no idea what they were off.

Lets be serious though, the probability is that the wheels were probably sourced this way at some point:

yes

Sadly probably true.

I can't imagine that any scene-queen has ever walked into a Bentley or Lambo dealer and parted with RRP cost of the wheels, however there will be some on the market from the footballer/restaurant owner types that fit those huge chrome abominations to their cars (each to their own)

Good of them to ensure that the dealer's flag stayed under the car.

Liked the look of them TBH, as they were split rims made for Jaguar by BBS - that, and at £700 with good rubber and the adapters, they were also a bit of a bargain.
I was convinced those were Alfa 159ti wheels at first. Anyway, I'm not saying it looks bad, I was just wondering about the reasoning behind it.
I was looking for Maserati biturbo wheels for my mk1 Golf a few years ago so it's not like I'm against mixing and matching OEM wheels.

Yep his name is Adam - I think he's on some custom made Rotiform wheels now.

as a side note, from what I can see on his Instagram anyway, his parents own a Veyron & an Aston One-77..and an F12 Ferrari haha..lucky chap.
