Every time I've posted on pistonheads something cool has happened so,

I'm in the process of opening a new shop in South Wales and am looking for a little feed back about your riding habits? Would a few of you guys mind answering a couple of simple questions?

I'm not from Wales, but I cycle a lot, most days, by myself or in a club so I did your survey smile

In response to your question about riding into a city for a stop, not a chance. Never ever. Part of the enjoyment of riding is heading out into the countryside, there is no way I'd ride into a city for a stop. Sorry.

The A48 is a hive for cycling between Cardiff and Swansea.
A few fellow PHr's and myself cycle on weekends mostly.
a shop/cafe anywhere on a main road around the Vale would do well.

It would also do well if there was onsite "Reasonably" priced maintenance department, as there is always a clunk, click or Rattle that sometimes manifests on a ride.

Maybe a Cuppa,Cake and lube/Adjustment for £5 would be awesome.
also a heathly stock of Essentials, tubes, tyres Etc

Hit the nail on the head regards the intention of the business! Still busy looking for a suitable site, so the more suggestions the better.

i did the survey. i live in west cardiff and usually head along the A48, but only really get out for an hour or 2 so dont really stop.

Finding somewhere might be tricky. I should imagine you would need to get creative with ideas for premises.

Bikers/cyclists used to go to the shop on the edge of Bonvilston, but that seems to have stopped for whatever reason? Bikers still seem to use the cafe at the cowbridge turning?

Can you use strava or similar to see where the most ridden routes are?
