Can anyone advise: are you meant to leave the fuel pressure gauge on the regulator as I have heard from another builder that he has known them to leak in some instances (probably not on an Ultima and probably not the same make)

It is not recommended that you leave them on for the leak issue.

I fitted an electric sender and read fuel pressure on my SPA dash. It is basically an oil pressure sender that fit into the fuel regulator.

Hope that helps.

Hi Pete
A very knowledgable builder saw mine and said I should remove it just in case one of the belts lets go and removes it causing an engine fire.

Yes - the factory removed mine when I sent it to them for IVA.

Oh..... didn't think that would be an issue, but mine is on my fuel rail and its a carb so only see's 6.5 psi....
Should I be removing that too?

My pressure gauge has been on the car for 11 years.
