Looking for a fun track car, and came across this.

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Mazda-MX5-18-California-...

Now i know it's showing rust, which usually means a bigger problem underneath, but it seems ok, and it is cheap after all.

Any thoughts from you experts?

Cheers smile

Seems like a fair price especially with all the goodies which have been added.
Only things not commented on are whether the engine runs well, gearbox has any play and rear axle quiet.
Admittedly for that money you can't go far wrong but it would be useful to know if there's any expenditure approaching.
HTH.
Cheers, Pewe.

£1600 for a rusty MX-5 doesn't sound like good value to me, the sills have already been patched rather than fixed properly so are probably completely knackered inside (£600+ to do properly).

Well I reckon the car is worth the asking due to the extras that would cost more if bought to modify a pristine car.
The car is modified for fun on track, if thats your pleasure buy it and I hope we meet while I am having a ball in whatever I am driving.

Thanks for the replies guys. Think I'll give this one a miss for now, and stick with my 206. Think I'll save up a few £k more for one in great nick, thst i can modify myself.
