Highest Mileage GT3

There are numerous threads on values of GT3's and I get the impression that as the prices go up, people are understandably getting more and more concerned about putting miles on their cars..... but these cars are MEANT to be driven! In fact, they LOVE it 
So, who has thrown caution to the wind and doesn't care about mileage?
Does anyone have a 996 GT3 with 100,000 miles on?
Anyone have a 4.0 RS with 50,000 miles on?
My car currently has 33,000 miles on it. Last night I went out for a drive and once again I was blown away by the car and what it can do and the way it makes me feel that I am now thinking I don't care about mileage!
Nobody turns their noses up at air-cooled 911's because of high mileage, they assess their overall condition so why do we care so much when it comes to newer cars?

They are still quite shiny and new so people get all precious about milage, give it 15-20 years miles wont matter and stone chips become patina.

I'm feeling like that too. I have withdrawn mine from sale. Just going to keep it, drive it and enjoy it. If it goes up in value then great, if it goes down in value then I can drive it more

I will keep my 997 GT3 forever. It's on 38,000 miles currently and i will be using it daily over the Summer (1,000+ miles a month). I'll treat the engine to a redbuild at 50,000 miles so the mileage is somewhat irrelevant anyway.
I think rather than a straight rebuild, I'll go for a 3.9 or a 4.1 conversion done on it when (if) the time comes for a rebuild

I don't think there is a specific mileage point as it just depends on usage and the results of leak-down/oil analysis tests. I guess if you are pounding race tracks every weekend and hitting 8k on every gear change the engine will require a rebuild before a 'street' engine that is used for occasional high days and dry days would.

As said, it kind of depends on the use, but i have read from Sharwerks that they have found damage internally on engines with as little as 20,000 miles. These are cars that have been used heavily on track, but it is important to remember these are high revving engines producing a lot of output!
Having done a fair bit of racing, where the cars' engines would be overhauled every other race, the fact modern cars are going to 2 year servicing intervals terrifies me!
I can't remember which GT3 owners manual i was reading, but Porsche have specific guidance on replacement suspension/hub components when using the car on track. I plan to apply the same logic to the whole car.

No, going to keep it if i can. It's a fantastic example and the only reason it was up was to release the profit in the car.I had a crazy notion that a Cayman R and no more mortgage would be better than a GT3, then I decided against it so am keeping it.
Alpine Assault is booked and paid for for again this year, so The Alps here we come.
