To all of you in Motorsport, we have a very difficult and sad announcement to make.

We heard last night, with great sadness that Mike Hibbins has passed away at home.

Mike was a true professional, whose excellence in engineering was his contribution to the sport, but also to professional work he did in the many years with us at Britcar; it was elegant, refined and measured.

He was an amazing man, who always had time to discuss his motorsport experiences with his peers, but his main objective was to keep all in the pit lane safe.

All our thoughts go to Judith, his lifelong partner. May all the family and friends be able to give you support in these very dark days, and may God be with you.

All that knew him will miss this gentle giant for his sense of humour.

James Tucker and the rest of the Britcar team.

Very nice tribute to a true gentleman of motor sport. Mike was always good to us at Synchro never too busy to help.

So sad to here of this gentleman's passing. A great bloke to work with and to spend time in the paddock passing the time of day with. RIP Mike, thank you for all you did for us.
