What a fking shambles. Stokes is batting right now because Ali was having a net out the back and couldn't get back and his kit on in time.

Stokes will relive that leave for a long long time. Hundred at Lords thrown away after dominating the attack.

Yeah, I'm sure he's psychologically compromised now after scoring 92 runs from 94 balls. Always thought he seemed the soft type.

LOL - you miss the point. Not that many people get chances for a ton at Lords.

Just learnt that Root's average at Lords is currently 98.
Looks like he's playing for averages today smile

If only the England top order were capable of your kind of timing.

Apart from the morning start, today has been a pretty good day for England.

Moeen Ali and Buttler doing a good job for England now.

Weather has been on point too.

Good call.

Still, I foresee a safe passage to lunch and 350/4 at the close with these pair at the helm of the good ship.

You're welcome.
I realise it's jolly bad form to quote yourself and all but...

cool

If you win the toss and elect to field, then unless you bowl the opposition out before close then you've failed.

At lunch it looked like a great decision. With one ball left in the day's play it looked a very poor one, now it just looks poor. Anyone know what Wood is like with the bat?

No idea,

Not much idea about his bowling either. I though Jordan was developing nicely, so not sure what the change is down to?

But yes decent day for England in the end.

Good comeback by the England/Kiwi side there.

At 347/7 England cannot lose this match - which is where you want to be when put in on day 1

I work pretty close to Lords, does anyone know if they still let people in for free if the test reaches the 5th day?
