I searched long and hard for my ideal C63 coupe. I must have searched for over six months.
In the end I found it, Edition 125,Magnetite,cream and black leather, Performance pack, diff, wheels, etc. (this is not a pitch) I think this car has the complete spec.
Anyway a year later I'm wondering whether I should keep it or sell it, the car is just too hooligan for me and every time I am out I can't resist doing what C63's do best.
The thing is I know it's the last of a breed and I remember when i sold my E46 M3. Again this was a low mileage highly specced car and the only reason I sold it was that I wasn't using it much.
However fast forward a few years and all the bad ones are dead and generally the only E46 M3's you see now are immaculate. Mine could have been one of those.
I just know the same thing is going to happen with the C63.
As the values plummet people who can't really afford them will begin to buy them crash them and wreck them.
5-7 years from now they will be a rare sight and only the best will still be available.
Then there's that engine!!!

I feel your pain....Financially it makes absolutely no sense to keep a car like the C63, I'm watching mine de-value faster than I can pay the finance. When the PCP deal finishes next year I probably won't even see any equity in the car at all but, if I keep it will I see a return in a few years? No, probably not. Certainly not to the value that I have spent on it since new.
Even 'man maths' doesn't make it all add up so, on paper, it should go.

However, the 'X Factor' this car has is almost addictive. The last of the naturally aspirated big V8's, the sound and, as you said, THAT engine. It's the last of the breed and is almost impossible to replace for that very reason (despite the shocking build quality of the interior....).

Classic head vs heart dilemma and for me, at this time, is won over by the heart.

It's a difficult one for sure but just think ahead a couple of years when you see one rumbling by and one of two thoughts enters your head...
"That sounds awesome, I've got one of those," or "that's awesome I had one of those.....".

Not too sure whether you're asking me or the OP but the same applies....how many do you see on the roads day to day? The great thing about the 'halo' cars (AMG/M Power/RS) is that they all sneak under the radar. There is nothing like driving past people who take no notice until you rumble past, spotting head turners in the mirrors is a hobby of mine!

They will always have a niche following but buying one to make money (unless it's an SLS) is probably unwise...
