I’m looking at a first BTL and considering the areas of Long Eaton/Beeston just south of Nottigham or around Mansfield Woodhouse/Rainworth to the north and was after some opinions of the areas themselves and/or any other thoughts.
Price wise I’ll be sinking between 100 & 130k into my first property, and research suggests rental values of between £550 and £650pcm, having spoken to a few agents up there they state the rental market is very buoyant in both areas.
My In-laws (parents and brother) are all reasonably close by these areas as well so handy for emergencies.
Long Eaton and surround is good for E/Mids airport, Nottingham and the M1 with what I believe are good schools as well, I’m just wanting to know if my initial thoughts are correct or if there are areas best avoided?

Beeston and nearby Lenton I'd say are a good bet as you could attract those who work at Boots, Queens Medical Centre and students from Nottingham university.

As said, I'd imagine the market to be far more buoyant in Long Eaton & Beeston than the badlands of Renneth (as they say round here biggrin) or Woodus

..but if your agent says different then I advise you trawl around a bit
