Hi all, I'm looking for a bit of a pointer based on first hand experience on the subject of replacement ECU's. Having done some investigating myself the obvious candidates for the first time buyer seem to be Omex, DTA and Emerald. The Omex 710 seems to be a first rate unit, but would welcome any advice or pointers. Thanks

The engine will be mostly standard, the only change I currently have planned is to switch to short induction hoses. The main thinking behind the change is to increase flexibility, finer tuning and to iron out a few gremlins.

if money is not a problem of course aftermarket ecu will do that depending on the gremlins but normally without any major mods horses wise not much will happen. in regards of smoother running it wont be that a big difference. you already tried to get your mbe remapped at a proper outfit ?

I believe Joolz uses Emerald when changing management. With them just bringing in a few tweaks which suit the Cerb recently.

You could always 'phone Jay or Dom at PowersPerformance.
They are developing ECU upgrades hand-in-hand with MBE.
