Thanks for link; loads of others there too thumbup

Have not watched it yet, do you know when it was recorded?
Recorded 2013, published May 2013. Also of note is the awful rubbish spouted by Laura Sandys the very same evening...two years on everything she and Chris Bryant try to promote has been proven incorrect...and it's worth reading the viewers commentary below the OU debate video

Polling reported on the front page of I and The Independent shows that 52 percent of those polled are in favour of a Brexit. The margin still needs to widen more but good news all the same.

Dear All, for those of you wanting the UK to leave the EU there are two very active campaigns that need good support, the EFDD 'Say No to EU' http://www.efddgroup.eu/ and the LeaveEU http://leave.eu/

The good news is that current supporter numbers are already totalling 300,000 for the LeaveEU campaign and current polls show 52% voting to Brexit the EU. It is free to join both groups and both would welcome to receive votes and any support you/we are able to offer. As with most activities it's continuous momentum that's needed for the UK to succeed in unlocking the preposterous EU financial, political and regulatory shackles that throttle independent UK governance...so, if you positively endorse Brexit do give these teams your support.

Alan Sked has received a poor response on PH at times, mainly due to him not liking his Nigelness, but he writes a bit of history about the formation of the EU here.

Just noticed on the BBC news site that the EU are giving Turkey 3 Billion Euros to help secure their borders , and they are talking about letting them join the party.

Not sure they are the sort of allies we need going on their current performance.

What would the govt do with the money saved if we left the EU and didnt have to pay into it?

Be a great thing - perhaps re-investing in the UK cutting tax?

Reduce the deficit is the sensible answer I suppose.

We are already allies - they are part of NATO and we are pledged to defend them if they are attacked (though I'm not sure if there is a get out for inciting attack by shooting down Russian planes over Syria)

Is it Article 6 that has the geographical limitations? It was relevant for eg the Falklands.

Reports over the last few days that the EU wants us to give up our UN Security Council permanent membership, so that they can have it.

What's European for 'You can fk right off"?

How can an entity that is not a nation be a member of the United Nations?

"Ever closer union" means that it will eventually become a single state.

Taxes, defence, currency and police will all become centralised.

Indeed. However pro-EU MP's seem reluctant to admit this.

http://ukdataexplorer.com/6-translator/?word=you+can+fk+off

Copy and paste it into the address bar, correct the censored bit and away you go. BTW the phrase is too long for the field, drop the word right and it works. Childishly Amused by the translation into Dutch. Of course many of these are linguistically a bit off but hey, brightens up a wet Monday.
