Noticed the other day they're advertising the loss of one of the two sky arts channels to us as an exciting new chapter rolleyes

Anyone else pretty disappointed with this? We've seen a lot of good stuff on these channels, I like they they consider most things musical as worthy with no attempt to restrict or brand the channel as elitist or cool, metal follows opera follows blues, a true music lovers approach.

With the emphasis on ever-increasing the number of channels it goes against the grain, are they attracting no-where near the desired audience numbers?

After the F1 it's one of the main justifications for paying sky their $$$ in my house; not that we watch it all the time but you keep your eye in as that there's regular interesting and well made stuff on it, which makes a refreshing change form the hundreds of channels of pap. It's one of the highest "quality" channels broadcasting IMHO.

As far as I can see, there's 5 items available in the sky arts section of catch-up?

I loved From the Basement, superb series. No pfaff just brilliant performances.
