That was the fault of the bus driver. He should have anticipated there would be idiots on the road.

Waiting at a tram level crossing in s.london the other day, two cyclists either side, both on the pavement, both jump red light, both suddenly realise they're about to hit someone as stupid as themselves and stumble-stop and oh-so-nearly cracked heads. It probably sounds all a bit cool-storey-bro but it would have been sensational

I'm so tempted to get a dashcam to capture the treasure moments like this (and the coppers playing facebook on their mobiles while driving squad cars) but I don't want to become dash-cam-guy.

In this case, after viewing the evidence eek the cause was definitely down to the lights not being 'cyclist red' as no other shade will do.

What a plonker, and a relatively unhurt plonker fortunately.

Waits for the lycra-clad brigade to show why it was absolutely nothing to do with the cyclist!

The blast on the horn you can hear was probably from the bus, and would explain why the bus driver never noticed the impact of the bike, he was too busy yelling at the Taxi.

Probably too busy tweeting how much he hates Uber to look where he's going.

The moral of the tale is the a red light means fking stop and it doesn't matter who you are or what you are piloting. There are no exceptions.

Glad the bloke was relatively unharmed though. I've been hit by a car, as a cyclist, and I can confirm it truly fking hurts.

Indeed, if memory serves me the last cyclist I saw do similar (well, I was a minute or two behind) did not end so well. If I recall he thought he'd ride round the right hand side of the bus and squeeze between the bus and a bollard....

Ouch! Now that could have been a lot worse, lucky boy!

well spotted on the taxi - suspect the b.i.b. should have a 'stern word' with him as well

Are there cabs and taxi's that don't then? Town centre around here is lethal at night because the council have put lights on every single roundabout and junction....and the taxis just ignore them.
